My mission is to help people improve their health and well-being by providing personalized, professional health and wellness coaching. In Canada in 2019, 58% of deaths were due to a chronic disease: 1) cancer, 2) heart disease, 3) stroke, 4) chronic lower respiratory diseases, and 5) diabetes. (Source - Statistics Canada, 2020)
To prevent or even reverse disability caused by these chronic diseases, I support you as you make small, easy to implement changes to improve eating habits, get more physical activity, manage stress, sleep better, and reduce substance use.
My vision is to see all members of our community have the opportunity to age well by receiving the knowledge and support to live their lives to the fullest.

I’m here to give you the help you want by providing you with evidence-based principles on successful behaviour change and healthy habits. We’ll work together to create a custom plan using simple, effective strategies that can be easily applied to your daily life with minimal time and effort.
I’ll assist you as you set goals to develop new behaviours and self-care habits that support and nourish your health. Making small but powerful changes to your lifestyle can result in a profound difference to your overall health. Tweaking your habits can actually prevent or reverse many of the chronic health conditions (diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, arthritis) that threaten your health and happiness.

We’ll explore evidence-based eating approaches that allow you to continue to eat foods you enjoy while reaching your personal goals. Break free of fad diets and quick-fix programs that don’t stand the test of time. Making small, manageable changes to your current eating patterns will result in desired changes that last.
Movement and Physical Activity
We’ll develop science-backed movement-based activity plans that build on the types of physical activity and exercise that appeal to you. By creating small, achievable goals you will get the exercise you need by doing the activities you enjoy.
I’ll provide you with a tool-kit of healthy strategies to cope with and manage stress so you can live a more relaxed and joyful life. Managing your stress has a positive effect on your immune system and chronic disease.
Meet Lisa Hutchinson
I have been helping people achieve their goals for over 30 years as both a certified Teacher and a Recreation and Fitness professional. I started my career as a Recreationist, instructing fitness classes, creating weight training programs and managing health and fitness centres. Since retiring from teaching, I have received certification as a Lifestyle & Wellness Health Coach (York U), and I’m certified to lead Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions workshops (program developed at Stanford U).
I enjoy staying healthy and happy by exercising, spending time in nature, eating mindfully, making music, volunteering, meditating, learning, and socializing with friends and family.
I have managed health challenges at different times in my life so I listen to you with empathy, care and compassion. I respect your life experience, skills and knowledge as we work together to plan and adjust your wellness goals. By meeting you where you are at with unconditional positive regard, I help you develop actionable strategies and tools that work for you now and teach you to self-manage your health in the future.
